Bold.

We can't think of a stronger word to describe Robert Conrad, and you know what? It's not a bad thing. Being bold can put you in a higher position; sometimes it can "lessen" your value in Hollywood. However, when you're a beloved veteran who has already gone through the highs and lows of being an actor, there's not really much that can affect you when you choose to speak your mind.

Being the star of The Wild Wild West and Black Sheep Squadron (Baa Baa Black Sheep), Conrad had a way with words. During an interview in 1977 with the Daily Press, he brought up the time he was talking to a journalist about Black Sheep Squadron and had to tell them, "I'm not one of those skeptics about wars."

"The star [of the show] is the airplanes. That and the period. It was a great period in history. And the show is about a great American. I'm not one of those who'll sneer at a Congressional Medal of Honor winner. We were in a noble encounter, fighting for our lives. I'm not one of those skeptics about wars."

"I was talking to one interviewer and I said, 'Now listen just for a minute. We're not talking about Vietnam or anything, but World War II.' I said, 'You're Jewish, aren't you?' And he said yes. I said, 'Well, would you have rather that Hitler had won?"

According to him, Conrad said those words simply, not with arrogance. "I'm positive...when I have something on my mind, I say it."
