'Star Trek: Discovery' announces three new crew members

Star Trek: The Original Series premiered more than five decades ago, and Star Trek: Enterprise went off the air about a dozen years ago. In other words, we're overdue for some new small-screen Star Trek.

As any fan knows, Star Trek is returning to television with Star Trek: Discovery. The new series already announced their lead (and a delay or two). The studio recently announced three more crew members viewers can expect to see come release time. Terry Serpico, Maulik Pancholy and Sam Vartholomeos are beaming up to the new series as Admiral Anderson, Dr. Namnue and Ensign Connor, respectively. 

The new series will have new ships, new story lines and new characters, while showcasing Star Trek's signature ideology of hope and unity.

As for a release date? We'll have to util May.
